ASPIRATION DAY BLOG

I'm Alicia Elena. It's been a long time since I posted the last blog on my study tour to Bali. I am so thankful for you, all the readers who always stay tune in my blog.
So, this blog right here will be about something exciting that happened in our school not long ago. It's about ASPIRATION DAY 2019 of SMAN 3 Bandung!
What is Aspiration Day?
Bassicly it's a event that held every year in our school and it's coordinated by Perwakilan Kelas SMAN 3 Bandung (class consultative assembly similar to student council). It has two series of event, i.e. Festival and KILAS (Komunikasi Langsung Antar Siswa/Direct Communication Between Student). Festival itself is a event for hyping students for the second event, KILAS, also in Festival, students get knowledge for express their aspiration. Whereas KILAS is an event that student can convey their aspirations directly to the school and the comitee.
What is the purpose of Aspiration Day?
It helps students express more their aspiration in the form of suggestion, opinion, or even complaint. And from KILAS, the students can also say what they think and all of their aspirations for improve the school.

I am one of the member in Perwakilan Kelas 2019. I work as the Event Executive Manager (just like Event Organizer). So, I am also one of the Aspiration Day creator. Aspiration Day Festival held on Friday, 26th April 2019, at 3 pm and took place in SMAN 3 Bandung hall. The event openned for all of the first and second high school year students.
This year's Aspiration Day's title is "THE MILLENIALS". Why The Millenials? It's because there's a lot people using their smart gadget and smart apps that are one of the way to express or share their opinion on something nowadays. But it also means that everybody start losing their real social life and change it into virtual social life that make us more individual. There's a lot people that doesen't care about other opinion, critizise them so there will be just a little amount of people who will speak for the better in the future. This things need to fix, and one of the sollution is giving knowledge of the importance of aspiring from
Festival consist two different talkshows. The first one is by Mrs. Keri, with the topic "The Importance of Aspire Critically and Wisely". The second one is by Mrs. Dian, with the topic "The Importance of Aspire in the Social Life". The conclusion of the two talkshows is that we as a students have rights to express and say our opinion, and on that rights, we must put forward our aspirations critically and wisely. We say our opinion, our suggestion, or complaint is for improve the bad things and make it better for us. Likewise for our Indonesia country.
The festival also consist of games and guest star at the end of the event. The guest star is Amigdala. Amigdala is one of Indonesian indie band from Bandung that is really famous for their hit song "Kukira Kau Rumah". At the festival, they sang all songs form their new album, such as "Tuhan Bilang Sia-Sia", "Menjadi Batu", "Lara Bercarita", and of course "Kukira Kau Rumah". They have an unique style of song, included the dancer. The dance is really uniqe, I personally don't know what dance she put on but it's very beautiful.
This is the photo I took with my friends and Amigdala Fam! It was such an pleasure to meet them and took picture with them. They are really nice by the way.
